南極大陸で紫色の池が見つかる

Scott Hotaling@MtnScienceさんは、近くにあるペンギンのコロニーから来ていると考えているようですが、確証はありません。

こちらで「南極基地近くで赤く染まった雪原が出現」と投稿していますが、ペンギンのコロニーからの流入物質を好む藻類が繁殖したのかも知れません･･･
